Barefoot in the Park

Spent some time after work yesterday taking Charlie down to Popson Dog Park. This is one of our favourite places to take him; he can be off leash, splash into the river, and basically run til he's out of breath.

There is also a fair bit of wildlife down in this area of the coulee. Last year we nearly had a run in with a porcupine and there have been a few owl sightings near the trees. But of course our most unique sighting was the time we watched a rattlesnake crossing the lane. Fortunately we were watching from the comfort of our car... it was nearly three feet long. We tried to flag down a van that was barreling down the road, but he only managed to pull up to us with a stupid look on his face. We told him, "We were trying to stop you so you'd look out for the snake."

He replied, "Well I don't want to see it," and he sped off. I guess some people just would rather leave their brains at home.

Anyway, here's Popson.
